Vaxis has released an upgraded version of its Atom A5 wireless video monitor/recorder, now with SDI, as well as a standalone wireless system using transceivers, where each is switchable between transmitter or receiver.

wireless monitor has both SDI and HDMI input/output ports, with a 5.5in HD touchscreen display – now boasting a maximum brightness of 2000- nits and 1200:1 contrast ratio for daylight viewing. It uses an SD card for recording, with instant playback, and can export for edit. It can be used as

either a receiver or transmitter; one transmitter can connect to two receivers. The Vaxis Thor wireless video system allows users to switch between transmitter and receiver, and a pair can both be used as transmitters with iOS devices used as the receivers, or be used with a new companion 7in monitor/recorder that can also be both transmitter or receiver. As with the Atom A5, Thor is also dual band. 12.G64
Pliant Technologies has introduced a SmartBoom Lite wireless intercom headset and upgraded CrewWare 2.0 software, which it promises “makes major advancements in setup, control and monitoring, and includes the additions of multi- platform, multi-client, multi-system support”, along with many GUI improvements. It means CrewWare 2.0 offers a cleaner, more straightforward interface that simplifi es accessing a CrewCom system from anywhere in the world from any type of device with a browser.
