Vaxis has released an upgraded version of its Atom A5 wireless video monitor/recorder, now with SDI, as well as a standalone wireless system using transceivers, where each is switchable between transmitter or receiver.

The Vaxis Thor wireless video system allows users to switch between transmitter and receiver, and a pair can both be used as transmitters with iOS devices used as the receivers, or be used with a new companion 7in monitor/recorder that can also be both transmitter or receiver. Pliant Technologies has introduced a SmartBoom Lite wireless intercom headset and upgraded CrewWare 2.0 software, which it promises “makes major advancements in setup, control and monitoring, and includes the additions of multi- platform, multi-client, multi-system support”, along with many GUI improvements. It means CrewWare 2.0 offers a cleaner, more straightforward interface that simplifi es accessing a CrewCom system from anywhere in the world from any type of device with a browser.


Gary Rosen, VP Global Sales, Pliant Technologies, said: “CrewWare 2.0 will aid our customers in facilitating off-line and on-line deployment of any


CrewCom system, whether simple or complex applications.” The SmartBoom Lite Headset includes improved fl exibility, stability and a more comfortable fi t.
