SPATIAL VIDEO IS READY FOR 3D AIRTIME
Jiangmen PDMovie Technology BY DAVID FOX
The new PDMovie 3D Air is claimed to be “the world’s smallest and most intelligent” device for shooting 3D or spatial videos, suitable for creating content for headsets such as Vision Pro or for 3D projection. 3D Air integrates LiDAR ranging modules, signal modules, electronic control modules and power supply into a sunshade, weighing only 1.159kg, much lighter than conventional systems. Two sets of lenses and cameras are integrated on the sunshade with locking components, eliminating the need for complex installation and setup – it is ready to shoot when it’s powered on.
Quality of Experience. TAG’s unique Zero Friction Licensing model maximises asset utilisation. Each licence includes all functionalities and can be shared between functionalities, workfl ows and locations based on needs. TAG’s API unlocks a world of possibilities by providing tools to customise interfaces and workfl ows, integrating seamlessly and automating processes. 1.C19
AI simplifi es 3D: PDMovie’s lightweight, intelligent 3D Air
The device uses LiDAR for automatic focus tracking, supporting simultaneous automatic focus for two lens sets, and is compatible with a variety of mainstream cameras and lens combinations, making it easy for a single user to operate the entire
system independently. It also includes AI-based
technology that imitates the human eye, with fi ve preset 3D effects for automatic stereoscopic adjustment during shooting, and has automatic/manual switch to control the strength of stereoscopic effects
or focus of two lens sets. PDMovie uses nanometre-level grinding to create a mirror that ensures clear, sharp images with even 200mm lenses, whereas conventional systems are only sharp to 70mm. 12.F35
