10:25-10:45 Transforming Music Shows with AI – Immersive viewing and innovative fan engagement AI Tech Stage: Hall 14 Yoon-Jae Lee, Deputy Director of KBS, South Korea’s public broadcaster, will showcase its pioneering generative AI technology, VVERTIGO Vision, which automatically learns existing music stage designs and expands 16:9 broadcast format videos to a spatial video format, achieving a full 180-degree view. Using this technology, broadcasters can produce content in a traditional manner and transform it for devices like Apple’s Vision Pro and Meta’s Quest. Additionally, Young Gil Kim, Professor at KBS partner the University of Seoul, will introduce the innovative Customized Cheer App, which provides new ways for viewers to participate in music shows while maintaining a broadcaster’s existing transmission systems.
10:45-11:30 Delivering Live Content at Scale Content Everywhere Stage 1: Hall 5 This session will explore developments in delivery approaches that enable video service providers to tackle the technical and operational challenges of connecting millions of concurrent viewers. Panellists Alexander Leschinsky, Co-Founder & CEO, G&L Geißendörfer & Leschinsky; Eric Black, CTO/General Manager of Media, Edgio; Tassilo Raesig, COO, MainStreaming; and Yang Cai, CEO & President, VisualOn, will share their experiences of helping service providers meet delivery challenges through managing and optimising multi-CDN operations, and discuss alternative approaches and emerging technologies such as content- aware encoding.

Content Everywhere Stage 2: Hall 14 Cees van Versendaal, COO, MwareTV; Scott Maddux, VP, Content Strategy & Business Development, Xperi; and Victor Sawma, Founder, CTO – CIO, Hibrid FZ, take to the stage for this one. Maddux will dissect the complexities of the rapidly evolving FAST landscape, sharing strategies for success and effective monetisation models. van Versendaal will offer the commercial and technical insights he has gained as a provider of an end-to-end OTT solution that also supports FAST channels, while Sawma will share his experience from MENA and the Gulf region where non-exclusive content rights are driving FAST and HBBTV consumption.

This session will provide updates on the progress towards commercialisation of two new 5G features: 5G Broadcast and network slicing. Andrew Towe, Director, XGen Network; Angus Stewart, Senior Product Manager, Telstra Broadcast Services; and Jordi Giménez, Head of Technology, 5G-MAG Media Action Group, will be sharing their insight. Ian Volans of Volans Consulting will moderate.
