The regional analysis was based on the SDGs regional groupings, except for North America and Europe, which have been separated.

In summary, the description of Sub-Saharan Africa includes the SDGs region for Sub-Saharan Africa; the description for Asia and the Pacific includes the SDGs regions of Central and Southern Asia, East and South-East Asia and Oceania; the description of Europe is based on the European component of the SDGs region of Europe and North America; the description of Latin America and the Caribbean is based on the SDGs region of Latin America and the Caribbean; the description of North America is based on the North American component of the SDGs region of Europe and North America; and the description of West Asia includes the SDGs region North Africa and West Asia.
