The Chief Examiner’s Report (2012) encourages teachers to provide opportunities for students to interpret and use information from various stimuli, for example, charts, diagrams, tables, maps of various scales, etc.
Choropleth maps use shading or colour to show variations in data. A legend or key provides information relating to the data. These maps are widely used in demographic studies where they show components of population change (Fig. 15.10).
