68 SKIN MICROBIOME
assessment was carried out after 21 days in which the cosmetic containing L. acidophilus PBS067 under examination was judged positively by the majority of parents on all the aspects investigated in Figure 6.
Conclusion Based on the reported tests and scientific research conducted by Roelmi HPC on sensitive and newborn skin, EquiBiotics LA appears to be an ideal partner for rebalancing skin dysbiosis in sensitive adult skin, reducing TNF-α expression by 32.6% after just 24 hours and improving the integrity of the epithelial barrier (TEWL). Clinical trials on 22 children between three and 36 months have also demonstrated the ability of the biotech ingredient to reduce infantile erythema with a p-value <0.001 after just seven days. A very positive parent assessment analysis after 21 days of treatment shows an overall improvement in patients’ skin conditions. In conclusion, the ingredient stands out to be
an effective, safe postbiotic, easy to incorporate into the water phase and suitable for all sensitive skin from three months of age.
