Ingredients,’ by Aurélien Tahon, head of application development and technical product management for personal care at IOI Oleo will demonstrate how multifunctional lipids and emulsifiers can enable versatile, cost-efficient formulations that deliver multiple skin and sensory benefits in fewer ingredients. Shortly after, Nikita Abuammar, formulation
researcher at AmphiStar, will explore high- performance biosurfactants for mild cleansing systems derived from upcycled feedstocks in the session, ‘Next-Generation Biosurfactants for Natural & Upcycled Formulation.’ In a joint session, Marine Lo Cicero, EMEA
technical manager formulation and Julien Guillan, EMEA technical service manager at Stepan, will address how next-generation surfactant systems can help formulators navigate evolving regulatory and sustainability challenges. Their session, ‘The Essential Solution to navigate EUDR and 1,4-Dioxane challenges: Alpha Olefin Sulfonate Surfactant Based Formulation,’ will focus on practical, compliant formulation approaches. IMCD’s EMEA regional technical director,
Anne-Sophie Gardes, will deliver the session titled ‘Calmantia Cutis: 98% Natural-Origin Second-Skin Cream for Post-Procedure with Cloud-Soft Feel’ while Maria Garcia Alvarez, application laboratory chemist at Kobo Products, will demonstrate ‘100% Natural Origin Lip Oil in Black Cherry,’ using advanced dispersion technologies for vibrant colour and nourishing performance.

demand for product experiences that combine luxury, sensory appeal and functionality. Led by Brenntag’s Lena Hansen, Innovation & Technology Specialist, the session ‘Make Up Remover Balm to Milk - Where Botanical Luxury Meets Modern Skincare Science,’ will demonstrate a balm-to-milk biofermented, botanical cleanser that transforms on contact with water for a soft, residue-free feel. Carole Corvez, Global Formulation Director at
Lucas Meyer Cosmetics by Clariant, will present a session formulating with the award-winning Pickmulse, which received Gold in the Functional Ingredients category at the 2025 in-cosmetics Global Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Awards. In the session ‘Pickmulse: Elevating Skincare with Gellified Sensory Science and Sustainable Performance,’ Corvez will guide formulators in using this unique, gel-soft sensorial ingredient to deliver surfactant-free emulsions with
neuroscience-validated comfort benefits. Nikko Chemicals’ Sachie Harada, vice director
of its application division, will lead formulators through high internal phase gel-to-oil emulsions for modern lip care, delivering high oil loading, non-sticky gloss and a clean ingredient profile in the session, ‘Create & Customize Your High Internal Phase “gel-to-oil” Emulsion Through Alpha-gel Emulsification.’ The session will demonstrate how to emulsify a phase containing 70% naturally derived oils to create an oil-gel formula that breaks into oil upon application. ‘Shy or Shine? Formulate Dual Style Cosmetics
with Siltech’s New Elastomer. One Ingredient with Two Looks,’ led by Angielyn Pabustan, personal care applications chemist at Siltech, will demonstrate dual-style cosmetics using a novel elastomer capable of creating both matte and glass-skin finishes from a single formulation approach.
