Provital promotes Rubí Zamudio to sales ops
Spanish cosmetic actives maker Provital has promoted Rubí Zamudio to sales operations manager. Since 2022, Zamudio has
managed the APAC market in the sales area, after starting her career at Provital in marketing in 2021. The Barcelona company said her
scientific background, with a PhD in Biomedical Sciences, allows her to serve as a bridge between the commercial and scientific aspects of the company.

BASF appoints president of care chemicals
BASF has appointed Daniel Wussow as its new president of its care chemicals division, effective 1 April.
The 39 year-old BASF ‘lifer’
will replace Mary Kurian, who has led the division since April 2023. Wussow is currently senior
vice-president of mobile emissions catalysts in Shanghai. His previous experience
includes sales roles in animal nutrition ingredients and aroma ingredients with BASF South East Asia.

Ludwigshafen, Germany, BASF’s care chemicals division is a global supplier to the cosmetics, detergents and cleaning industries. Kurian has been appointed as a member of BASF’s board of executive directors.
