Procedure: Add water to the vessel and begin adding phase B stepwise. Mix until uniform. Add in phase C stepwise, mix until uniform. Add in phase D stepwise, mix until uniform. Premix phase E and add into the main vessel. Mix until clear. Adjust to pH 5.6 - 6.0 with citric acid. Adjust to 3,000 – 6,000 cP with sodium chloride. Add Extrapone Silk GW N (phase H) with stirring. Alternatively this can be a ‘customised shot’ that the consumer could add to the bottle at home to create a personalised shampoo meeting their hair needs. Alternative extracts with different properties could be used. Properties: Appearance: Clear, yellow/orange viscous liquid pH: 5.6-6.0 Viscosity: 3,000-6,000 cP, Brookfield RV, #5, 20 rpm, 20°C Stability: 12 weeks at 45°C, 20°C, 5°C, and 3F/T Cycles

Procedure: In a container, prepare phase A1. Disperse A2 into A1 under maximum stirring for 10 min (rotor stator homogenizer). Add A3 into A1A2 and apply maximum stirring during 10 min to emulsify (rotor stator homogenizer). Under triblade at low to very low speed, heat the formula up to 61.0°C. Stir for 15 min under the same speed and temperature to create a barrier treatment. Cool down the formula under triblade until room temperature at the same speed. Procedure: In a main vessel, combine phase A under moderate propeller mixing and heat to 40-45°C, then homogenize 5 minutes. Continue mixing and heat to 70-75°C. In a separate vessel, mix phase B and heat to 70-75°C until clear. At 70-75°C, add phase B to phase A under high propeller agitation. Homogenize until uniform. Continue with moderate mixing and cool down to 40-45°C. At 40-45°C, add phase C ingredients, independently. Cool down to ≤ 32°C and adjust pH if needed.
