Figure 3: Profilometric Measurement with Primos-CR in Pore & Blemish Refining Evolution of Volunteer nº 68 on Day 0 vs. Day 14, 28 and 56 of Treatment with 2% of the Studied Endophyte Active Ferment

with more than 50% of the subjects reporting a noticeable change. After 56 days, a significant 75%** of volunteers improved in matte appearance. Additionally, the amount and distribution

of protoporphyrin-IX, a metabolic byproduct of C. acnes,13

suggested a reduction in

the bacterial population across the skin, underscoring the significant antimicrobial activity of the active ingredient. After 56 days, a substantial 89%** of volunteers were quantified to show a decrease in protoporphyrin-IX, in vivo (Figure 4).

All-encompassing anti-inflammatory action to reach total evenness Finally, an all-encompassing anti- inflammatory action serves as a unifying factor, reducing cytokine activity and promoting an

even skin tone, while restoring the balance disrupted by ‘inflammaging’.

Inflammatory response reduction IL-6 and IL-8 are key cytokines in acne research, as they are secreted by sebocytes in response to C. acnes.14

The inflammatory

processes in response are also linked to premature ageing, a phenomenon known as ‘inflammaging’.15 Sebocytes were treated with 0.056% of the

endophytic ferment, after lipid production and cytokine secretion were induced. The levels of both cytokines were then quantified in the supernatants, revealing a significant reduction of 33.5%* in IL-6 and 41.4%** in IL-8.

Post-inflammatory relief & regeneration Thanks to a clinical study conducted on

a younger panel (30-40 years old), the visible disappearance of acne spots, reduction in blemishes, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), and acne marks across the skin were assessed. As a result, a significant 78%*** of

volunteers clinically improved in skin regeneration (Figure 5) after 56 days of treatment with the endophytic ferment.

General skin tone & youthful appearance This endophytic ferment reveals its well- ageing and balancing properties when reversing the uneven skin tone colour on volunteers by -9.3%*** compared to placebo in vivo, and a 86%**** of volunteers showed a clinically relevant improvement in the balance of the overall skin tone; both after 56 days. After the clinical study, all volunteers were
