Europelab launches BioLichen CosmosPreserve

Europelab has taken the wraps off BioLichen CosmosPreserve, a patent-pending multi-functional active ingredient that it claims redefines natural preservation in personal care formulations. As demand for clean, effective, and sustainable alternatives continues to grow, CosmosPreserve delivers an innovative solution that ensures product protection while providing additional benefits for skin health. Inspired by nature’s resilience,

CosmosPreserve is powered by lichen metabolites—complex natural molecules that enable lichens to thrive in extreme environments. These metabolites have been

extensively studied for their antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti- inflammatory, and cytoprotective properties, making them an ideal choice for modern personal care formulations. By integrating these powerful

an optimized inclusion rate. Additionally, CosmosPreserve

contains standardized usnic acid isomers and atranorin, natural compounds known for their protective and restorative properties. Beyond its preservation

bioactives, CosmosPreserve offers formulators a 100% natural solution, using COSMOS Organic Certified ingredients as an alternative to synthetic preservatives. The introduction of

CosmosPreserve marks the first launch under Europelab’s BioLichen platform, a pioneering initiative dedicated to harnessing the untapped potential of lichen- derived actives. This proprietary blend of triethyl

citrate, Cladonia stellaris, and Cladonia rangiferina delivers broad- spectrum antimicrobial efficacy at

capabilities, CosmosPreserve supports overall skin wellness by reinforcing resilience, defending against oxidative stress, and offering natural UV absorbance at key wavelengths. Montreal, Canada-based

Europelab says the BioLichen platform is set to expand, with second- and third-generation products currently in development. The company remains deeply

committed to sustainability and ethical sourcing, working closely with indigenous communities to ensure responsible harvesting practices that benefit both people and the environment.

Provital pushes button on Pureblome

Provital has taken the wraps off Pureblome, the second ingredient developed through its Triplobiome biotechnology platform. By harnessing the profound

relationships between plants and their internal symbiotic microorganisms (endophytes), the Spanish maker claims Triplobiome creates a unique synergy that embraces the interkingdom relations within the whole ecosystem. By leveraging this innovative

endophyte-based biotechnology, Provital creates Pureblome when isolating the highly bioactive endophytic bacterium Bacillus velezensis from the inside of the leaf tissue of the agroecologically grown hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis),

metabolomic analysis was conducted on the B. velezensis ferment later used to create Pureblome, where a wide range of peptides, lipopeptides, and other anti-pathogenic molecules from the plant’s world were identified. This new ecosystem ingredient

sourced near Barcelona. Thus, says Provital, it creates what it claims to be the first “agro- psychological solution to really tap into nature’s wisdom to achieve balance and rejuvenation”. To better understand the

synergistic efficacy of the active metabolites produced through this interkingdom symbiosis,

- standardized in peptides - harnesses the vast metabolic potential of nature to address the broad challenges of mature women with a triple efficacy approach that combines anti-acne and well-aging benefits. Backed by advanced in vitro

and in vivo research, Pureblome promotes overall skin regeneration through a dual action targeting specific cell types.

P2 unveils hair care concept

product P2 Science has unleashed Dualité Molécul’hair, an exclusive concept product developed with biotech outfit Curie Co and contract manufacturer Capsum. Dualité Molécul’hair is a clean,

concentrated leave-in treatment that combines bond-building technology, styling control, and conditioning care. Applied to damp hair, it

detangles and conditions, defining natural texture, locking in style, and resisting frizz and humidity. It is suitable for all hair types. Leveraging Capsum’s multi-

patented technologies, Dualité Molécul’hair comprises two synergistic formulas - an emulsion and a microfluidic encapsulated gel - that coexist in a single chamber, mixing and activating upon use. Thus, it reinvents the dual-chamber packaging concept with less plastic. The emulsion formula features

Curamina, a novel bond-builder created by Curie Co’s proprietary biotech platform. When paired with proteins

and peptides, Curamina instantly creates essential peptide bonds around the hair cuticle, sealing the protein to the hair and providing a long-lasting film around the hair fibre.

The microfluidic gel formula

encapsulates plant-based protein and Citropol DE-4, P2’s award- winning and globally compliant high molecular weight polymeric emollient powered by green chemistry.

Silab reveals efficacy data on Liftilence film-former ingredient

Silab has published efficacy data about Liftilience, a film-forming natural active ingredient derived from fully traceable organic chestnuts. The French maker studied the

rapid lifting effect of the product formulated at 0.32% in a gel. The results show that Liftilience

significantly lifts crow’s feet wrinkles as of 15 minutes after a single application. In addition, four hours after

having applied a gel formula containing 0.16% Liftilience to the thighs, skin firmness is significantly increased by 5%, skin elasticity by

8% and skin tone by 34%. Also, after 21 days of twice-daily

application, Liftilience provides an anti-wrinkle effect by significantly smoothing forehead wrinkles (-11%). Silab also revealed its

radiance by reinvigorating skin oxygenation. When tested at 0.25% on aged

human fibroblasts, it significantly reduces the expression of miRNAs repressing the biological pathways of oxygenation (HIF-1α) and cellular energy production (ATP).
