Welcome to the May issue of Personal Care Global. It was wonderful to catch up with so many of our readers, contributors and advertisers at in-cosmetics Global a few short weeks ago. We were fortunate to
have a superlative location
in Hall 1 at RAI Amsterdam, which meant the copies of the magazine and the Little Books practically flew off the shelves by themselves. It is always gratifying to see so many people
make a beeline for our stand at trade shows and pick up their copies. The hottest topic in Amsterdam was
undoubtedly longevity, which looks beyond just the visible signs of ageing, and addresses the underlying mechanisms at the molecular level to promote overall skin health. As editor, I get told about dozens of new
product launches at this time of year, and many were tied into this topic. Another hot topic was AI, and I had the
privilege of chairing a panel discussion about data-driven innovation at the show with Enkos

managing director Lorna Radford and others. Stay tuned for more from Lorna in these pages in due course. Our next visit will be to CITE (Cosmetic
Ingredients & Technology Exhibition) JAPAN in Yokohama on 14-16 May, where publisher Geoff King will be at our stand, N1-11. Ahead of this, the 12th edition of this
prestigious event, I caught up with Yoshinori Iwase, President of the Federation of Japanese Cosmetic Ingredients Associations and President of personal care ingredient distributor Iwase Cosfa, on page 16. This issue also includes a Japanese language
edition featuring contributions from Grant, Nagase Viita, Ichimaru Pharcos, NSF and distinguished international cosmetics consultant Theresa Callaghan. After Japan, we will be in New York for NYSCC
Suppliers’ Day, which we preview in depth on page 19. This year, our digital channels manager Alex
Moon will be in attendance at stand 1052, where he will be filming a series of interviews. Also at the Javits in Manhattan will be Geoff and business manager Chris Vincent. Enjoy the magazine.
