COMPANY PROFILE HAYASHIBARA CO., LTD.

Since its establishment in 1883, HAYASHIBARA CO., LTD. has been developing and manufacturing unique functional materials utilizing the power of microorganisms and enzymes. We feature active glycosides and polysaccharides for cosmetic ingredients. With proprietary enzyme technologies, we create natural and sustainable ingredients for personal care, which can

transform unstable and insoluble substances into unique and more formulations friendly, with greater stability and solubility. These have a high natural product index and are suitable for use in a wide range of cosmetic products. Our high-quality ingredients from natural sources are trusted throughout the world for use in a wide range of personal care products to maintain young-looking, beautiful skin. We have been committed to sustainable manufacturing for more than half a century, and now growing as a global company of NAGASE Group.

AA2G™

AA2G™ is a stabilized ascorbic acid derivative produced from Vitamin C and starch by enzymatic technology resulting in a substance that has greatly improved stability and solubility in the water while retaining the natural biologic functions of Vitamin C. When applied to the skin, it is activated by intrinsic catalytic enzymes, delivering healthier and younger-looking skin over a prolonged time period. It is also used as a skin-brightening and anti-wrinkle agent in daily moisturizing and sunscreen products to prevent photo-aging.

Alpha Glucosyl Hesperidin Alpha Glucosyl Hesperidin is composed of glucose and hesperidin, which has been scientifically proven to enhance micro-vascular circulation when applied to the skin and help to overcome the negative physical effects caused by stress, tiredness, and cold environments on the body. It is also a powerful antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties that helps to improve dark circles under the eyes and brighten dull complexion, and tired puffy skin, providing a more radiant look.

PULLULAN (COSMETIC GRADE) PULLULAN is a naturally produced, low-viscosity polysaccharide used in skin care products to give lotions and creams a unique feel and texture leaving a natural silicone-like after-feel on the skin. It also has good adhesive and foam-retention properties when dissolved in water. PULLULAN’s film-forming ability allows it to create easily soluble films and face masks as a stable carrier for active ingredients, colors, fragrances, and instant lift-up effects to skin care products. PULLULAN is soluble in water and stable over a wide range of pH conditions without affecting the viscosity when added to solutions. While many polymers are derived from petroleum, Pullulan is a non-petroleum, sustainable plant-based polymer made by fermenting starch syrup.
