COMPANY PROFILE SOLVAY

We are a science company whose technologies bring benefits to many aspects of daily life with a purpose to bond people, ideas and elements to reinvent progress. We seek to create sustainable-shared value for all through our One Planet Program, an initiative crafted around three pillars: protecting the climate, preserving resources and fostering better life. With extensive scientific knowledge and formulation and application expertise in the beauty care market, we support our customers with an innovative range of advanced hair and skin care functional ingredients and actives with proven efficacy. Solvay is the industry leader in natural and naturally derived polymers and specialty surfactants. At Solvay, we care and understand that the needs for sustainable solutions evolve with time. Especially for the beauty care market, we understand and anticipate the trends for safe, natural-based, certified, clean and ethically sourced ingredients.

MORE ABOUT OUR SHOWCASED FORMULATIONS: Pure Clean Shampoo: This clarifying shampoo has been developed without any sulfate to give super clean hair, removing sebum and residues without stripping the textured hair. Solvay formulators introduced Geropon® EL P MB, Mirataine® CB 35 ULS HP MB, Solvay’s ultra-low salt amphoteric, and Geropon® T77 PC MB to develop that ultra-mild clear formula that respects fiber and scalp without any compromise on the cleanliness. It is the new generation of Clarifying shampoo and is suitable for all hair types on Andre Walker’s scale!

SOS Moisture Mask: Solvay experts developed this SOS moisture mask for the most demanding textured hair, the level 4 on Andre Walker’s scale. On top of our Fentamine® 301, we added Dermalcare® LIA MB, Jaguar® Optima and Polycare® Split Therapy to bring high conditioning, moisturizing and softness. 100% plant-based, non-toxic, non-irritating, readily biodegradable and COSMOS-validated, the Dermalcare® LIA MB is Solvay’s winning alternative to non-volatile silicones. Jaguar® Optima brings superior and homogeneous softness to the lengths without any build-up. And for the tips, Polycare® Split Therapy is a natural active stepping into real hair cure providing a durable full split-ends sealing for consumers to enjoy shiny, healthy and beautiful long hair.

Wake-up Curls Day Cream: This day cream is the iconic product of textured hair consumers. It’s used after the Clean and Care cycle and before any styling product. It’s the perfect primer. A care and styling hybrid that provides durable hydration (up to damaged hair tips), facilitates styling (glide) and structures the hair curl (anti-frizz). To achieve such high performance, Solvay introduced Jaguar® C162, a unique eco-friendly bio-based conditioning polymer combined with the quat, Fentacare® 2231 MS I 90.

Milky Curl & Comb Spray: Combing can be challenging for textured hair, but not with the right product. On top of a fine-tuned combination of quats (BTAC, BTMS), the heart of this hair spray detangler is a high level of Dermalcare® LIA MB, Solvay’s winning alternative to non-volatile silicones. It is 100% plant-based, non-toxic, non-irritating, readily biodegradable and COSMOS-validated. Once again, Dermalcare® LIA MB demonstrates its remarkable versatility (rinse- off or leave-on, light or rich signal, …). This spray can be used daily and/or before the routine.
