bitop, a German manufacturer and expert in the biotechnological production and development of natural stress- protection molecules, the so called Extremolytes, was founded in 1993 as a spin-off from the University Witten/ Herdecke in Germany.
Extremolytes are used as multifunctional and highly effective active ingredients in cosmetics, OTC medical devices, and animal health products. The natural molecules are originally found in very fascinating microorganisms and plants, living in the harshest habitats one can imagine: deserts, the deep sea, salt lakes, hot springs, or the arctic ice. These so called extremophilic plants and microorganisms use Extremolytes to protect themselves from damage and degeneration by their hostile environments. bitop Ectoin® natural –Ultimate Protection and Repair (INCI: Ectoin) bitop Ectoin® natural is a 100% natural amino acid derivate. The multifunctional active shows outstanding cell protection and skin-repairing efficacy. It protects skin from damage caused by stress factors like pollution, UV radiation, blue light, extreme temperatures, or dryness. At the same time, bitop Ectoin® natural repairs and regenerates damaged, inflamed, and aged skin.
Glycoin® natural –The Cell Energizer (INCI: Glyceryl Glucoside, Aqua (Water)) The natural stress-protection molecule is originally found in resurrection plants and blue-green algae. It shows very powerful cell-boosting and revitalizing efficacy for tired, mature, and stressed skin. It is microbiome-friendly and additionally has got a prebiotic effect on the human microbiome by showing a growth-promoting activity.
