Procedure: Phase A: Charge aqua into mixing vessel. With rapid but smooth agitation slowly blend in Jaguar Excel and mix until completely uniform add trace amounts of citric acid to hydrate and swell. Slowly add phase B and mix until uniform. Phase C: In separate vessel add remaining aqua, then sequentially add Pureact 138 and Empicol®


mix until uniform and clear. Slowly add phase AB to phase C with mixing. Mix until uniform and clear. Combine phase D separately and mix until uniform (Note: glycerin added to keep phase mobile). Add phase D to main vessel and mix until uniform. Add phase F and mix until uniform and clear. Adjust pH to 4.7-5.2 using phase E. Add phase G, 0.2% aliquots of sodium chloride, until required viscosity obtained.

Procedure: In main vessel, mix phase A until fully dispersed and clear. Heat to 45˚C. Add phase B ingredients sequentially and mix until uniform and clear. Then remove from heat (Note: Pureact WS Conc, Pureact MS-CG and Pureact Gluco L need to be heated and homogenised before addition to the vessel). Slowly add phase C and mix until uniform. Add phase D and mix until fully dissolved. Add phase E and mix until fully emulsified and clea. Adjust pH to 4.8-5.2 with phase F as required. Phase G: Add aliquots of sodium chloride, (0.4%w/w) as required, until viscosity of 8000-12000cps is obtained.
