Harwin Intros Rugged Coax Cables and Connectors
QUICK TURN ASSEMBLY
24-48 SHIPS IN SHIPS IN HOURS
New Albany, IN — Harwin has added to its Datamate high-reliability con- nector product family. Addressing space-constrained RF/wireless de- signs, each product in the Datamate Coax series comprises multiple (ganged) coaxial contacts in a compact housing. These components offer engi- neers access to numerous coaxial lines with a single connection. With two-, four-, six-, and eight-
contact options, the contacts con- tained within each connector are arranged into single- or double-ended jack formats with 0.16 in. (4 mm) pitch. They are designed to deliver strong RF performance up to frequen- cies of 6 GHz. The connectors’ robust construction withstands high levels of shock (100G) and vibration (10G/200
Hz), as well as temperatures of –67 to +257°F (–55 to +125°C). Key application areas for the
connector series are avionics, radar, robotics, industrial automation, mili- tary, and medical equipment, as well as general wireless communications. The accompanying cable assemblies are designed to ensure long-term op- erational integrity, while mitigating the related tooling costs that OEMs face when carrying out processing in- house. The cables are available in lengths of 5.9, 11.8 and 17.7 in. (15,
30 and 45 cm). Contact: Harwin, Inc., 3602
