Newtown, CT — Sonics & Materials has introduced its new 2,500W, 15 kHz X-Press ultrasonic welder. The unit is an all-in-one, super- rigid, ultrasonic welding press with a built-in micro- processor.

Eliminating the need for

a separate power supply, the press has a single-piece, rigid, cast-aluminum mach - ine base and column hub, along with easy-access front panel pneumatic and micro- processor controls. Previously available at

20 kHz, the new 15 kHz model is available with 2,500W of power, and welds in digital time or constant energy modes. The 15 kHz X-Press

accommodates larger part sizes and force requirements, while still delivering consis- tent reliability across a range of applications. Engineered to provide

Other standard features include

an ultrasonic power load meter, upper and lower weld limit settings and a back-lit LCD display. All mod- els include soft-start overload protec- tion circuitry, load regulation circuit- ry and digital wattage display. CNC
