Corelis Adds Queued Transactions to I2C Bus Analyzers
Cerritos, CA — Corelis has released version 1.25 of its I2C Exerciser soft- ware for BusPro-I and CAS-1000- I2C/E I2C bus analyzers. The soft- ware update includes new queued transactions for CAS-1000-I2C/E models along with many more en- hancements. The update has added new
queued read, queued receive and random read (write-restart-read) functions to the scripting language and application programming inter- face (API). Queued read functions allow read transactions to return valid data with no added delay for applications with tight timing re-
ACL Staticide Formulates Silicone Conformal Coating
Chicago, IL — ACL has added a new silicone conformal coating to its ex- isting selection of rework and repair aerosols. This transparent coating, 8695, provides insulation and protec- tion for both flexible and rigid PCBs. It protects against soldering heat, corrosive vapors, moisture, and fun- gus. The silicone-based resin helps to reduce or avoid corrosion on electron-
quirements. Transaction tracking can now be
disabled in the API, allowing transac- tions to add minimal delay between write and read. Messages can now be filtered, based on matching multiple bytes in multiple positions. The update adds new parame-
ter validation sets for SMBus 100 kHz, 400 kHz and 1 MHz classes with its Parameters Scope (CAS- 1000-I2C/E version only). There is also new built-in PEC CRC8 check- ing for read script functions when
using the test and master emulation modules (CAS-1000-I2C/E version only).
The I2C Exerciser software al-
lows users to generate I2C traffic, non-intrusively listen to and record all I2C bus traffic and display real- time data in both state and wave- form timing windows concurrently, using a single instrument. The new scripting functions can be used to queue sequences of write and read commands with no added delay, while still allowing scripts and API

ic components and in humid environ- ments or when the components come in contact with saltwater. The new silicone conformal
coating is designed not to stress deli- cate circuit components in high-tem- perature applications. The coating is formulated to avoid fading, cracking, yellowing, and discoloring over time. The material contains a UV indi-
cator for quality control inspections. It does not contain CFCs or HCFCs and is RoHS-compliant. No SvHCs are used. The conformal coat resin meets MIL-I-46058C, Type SR requirements
and is manufactured in the U.S. Contact: ACL Staticide, 840 W
