Be charmed by pretty Cádiz, an ancient city situated on Spain’s glorious Andalusian coast, before Black Watch continues on to the Canaries. Three days of island-hopping begin in Lanzarote, where volcanic, lunar-like landscapes are ripe for exploration. Venture into the incredible Timanfaya National Park on a tour - home to the dramatic Fire Mountains, with soaring peaks and open lava fields - there are unmissable photo opportunities.

During your stay on Gran Canaria, you can perhaps try traditional Canarian ‘wrinkly potatoes’ with mojo sauce, or explore huge forests smothered with impressive pine trees. If you’d prefer, relax in the sun, the golden sands of Maspalomas are a great place to unwind and prepare for your final Canarian call, Tenerife. The abundant attractions of the Canaries’ largest island await you. The Pyramids of Güímar and Mount Teide – towering over the island’s volcanic landscape – are particular pleasures.

The Portuguese island of Madeira, boasting fragrant botanical gardens and soaring sea cliffs, is next on the horizon, before a stop at Leixões is the chance to head into Oporto. Portugal’s cultural second city is famous for Port wines and the UNESCO-listed historic centre.
