An evening will be spent cruising the Ghent-Terneuzen Canal. The following morning you’ll arrive into beautiful Antwerp, via the Western Scheldt River. From Balmoral’s central docking location, you’ll be able to uncover the elaborate guildhouses of the main square, Grote Markt, as well as the legendary diamond district. Perhaps you’ll browse some of the renowned high-end fashion outlets, too. Alternatively, you could opt to visit Antwerp Zoo, one of the oldest in the world.

Following a transit of the historic North Sea Canal, there’ll be time for an evening tour along Amsterdam’s iconic network of canals. There’s more opportunity to explore the following day too, perhaps at Anne Frank House, or among the highlights of the fascinating Museum Quarter.
Rotterdam showcases futuristic architecture that has to be seen to believed – particularly the Cube Houses and Markthal – before Balmoral sails onward to Belgium via the Nieuwe Maas. The medieval city of Ghent is then yours to explore. It’s renowned for its ‘Three Towers’ (St Bavo’s Cathedral, St Nicholas’ Church and The Belfry) – viewable from St Michael’s Bridge – as well as delicious Belgian chocolates.
