Spending the following day in Eidfjord presents opportunities to kayak on the tranquil surrounding waters; tour to the Hardangervidda, Norway’s largest national park; or perhaps uncover the spectacular Vøringsfoss Waterfall. All this before a scenic cruising adventure through the orchard-filled landscapes of the Hardangerfjord – ‘Queen of the Fjords’ – and the lush green valleys of Ulvikafjord, a branch of the Hardangerfjord.

A final helping of exploration is a tempting proposition, particularly with the likes of Bergen’s UNESCO-listed Bryggen Wharf and the vibrant fish market to-hand. Elsewhere, unparalleled vistas await you from the summit of Mount Fløyen, which is reachable via funicular railway. A full day scheduled here offers the equally rewarding opportunity to journey through the stunning landscapes on the unforgettable Flåm Railway.
