Skagen is a great hors d’oeuvre before you launch into the main course: an overnight stay in extravagant St Petersburg. By day, the extensive list of star attractions to uncover includes Peterhof Palace, the Hermitage Museum, the Faberge Museum, Catherine Palace and St Isaac’s Cathedral, to name just a few. When night falls there’s the opportunity to witness a quintessential Russian ballet performance too.


During your full day in Helsinki, surrounded by the array of Art Nouveau architecture, you might choose to call at the grand Senate Square or perhaps delight in an authentic sauna experience in the country of its


origin. Tallinn’s UNESCO-listed Old Town then showcases its wealth of fairytale-esque architecture, much of which can be found on Toompea Hill, including the stunning Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.


In ever-welcoming Copenhagen there’s something for everyone. Tours on which you can marvel at the lavish Danish royal residences of Christiansborg Palace and Amalienborg Palace are particularly recommended. The likes of the iconic Little Mermaid statue and the colourful Nyhavn waterfront district will be well within your reach too.


Elsewhere, you could opt to stroll the pedestrianised streets of Strøget or around the famous Tivoli Gardens, where you’ll find picturesque lakes and enchanting gardens.


Completing this enticing line-up is the city of Kristiansand, on the southern tip of Norway. With treasure-laden streets, an attractive marina, a quaint beach and a selection of landmarks, you’ll find it a delight to explore and the perfect, relaxing finale to your adventure.
