We’ll deliver you the scenic splendour of the Canaries, getting you up close to the crater cones of Lanzarote’s Timanfaya National Park, the vast, oasis-like sand dunes of Gran Canaria’s Maspalomas Beach, and Tenerife’s mighty Mount Teide – Spain’s highest peak. Pine forests and the amazing biosphere reserve on La Palma provide further chances to explore the diversity of the region. Alternatively, you can use your time ashore to swim, sail, snorkel or simply stroll around these magnificent islands.


A perennial favourite with Fred. Olsen guests, Portugal features prominently on these cruises. On the mainland you’ll have the chance to admire an array of historic architecture and sample the nation’s treats, including delicious wine and Pasteis de Nata (Portuguese custard tarts). The traditional sound of Fado – included on UNESCO’s Lists of Intangible Cultural Heritage – is a joy to hear, too.
