New Push-Pull Connectors From Yamaichi
San Jose, CA — Yamaichi has added to its Y-Circ® P line of push-pull con- nectors with its S series hermaphro- ditic connectors. Like the B series, the S series also carries an IP50 rat- ing. The hermaphroditic connector has a divided insulator with male and female plugs installed in both the plug and socket, making the con- nection easy and secure. The connec- tors are clearly marked with a blue dot to make finding coding simple. Yamaichi Electronics USA is a

Schaumburg, IL — The Nichicon (America) Corporation has intro- duced a range of aluminum elec- trolytic capacitors and related prod- ucts. The company’s newest high- vibration leaded capacitor can with- stand up to 40g (g-force) of vibration. It has a special case design that holds the internal construction in place during high-stress applica- tions. The product is useful for trans- portation applications where vibra- tion is a concern, as well as for appli- cations in the industrial sector. The company has also intro-
duced its GYA series of hybrid poly- mers. Hybrid polymers combine the best of standard aluminum and poly- mer aluminum electrolytics. Low ESR and long life make the material a good choice for applications that require extremely low ESR in a small package.

PennEngineering: Corrosion Resistant Standoff Fasteners
Danboro, PA — PennEngineering® has introduced its 400 series of PEM® self-clinching stainless steel standoff fasteners with bright nickel plating. The fasteners are designed to provide corrosion resistance and contribute to an attractive finish in stainless steel assemblies. The 400 series threaded fasten-
ers allow for the mounting, spacing or stacking of panels, boards or compo- nents and install into thin stainless host sheets by being pressed into pre- punched and properly-sized round mounting holes. After installation into sheets with hardnesses up to HRB 88/HB 183, they become perma- nent parts of an assembly and will not loosen or fall out. A mating screw completes the attachment process. The nickel-plated stainless prod-
uct line includes Type SO4™ through- hole threaded standoffs. Type BSO4™ blind threaded standoffs — whose closed threads appear flush on the back side of the host sheet —and Type TSO4™ threaded standoffs are engi- neered specifically for installation into thin stainless sheets.

are available in thread sizes from #4- 40 through #8-32, M3 through M5,
