OLIVE BAR AND KITCHEN

Company: Electro Voice Location: Mumbai, India

The Olive Bar and Kitchen in Mumbai is an outstanding landmark. A place where the city’s happy people congregate to dine well, to dip into an outstanding cellar, and to linger over laughter and conversation. Just like the city, Mumbai’s Olive is a bit of a chameleon: at bar nights on Thursdays, the place explodes with music and high spirits. But visit for Sunday Brunch, and it is lazy laughter in a sunlit courtyard, where no one will hurry you from your table. The bar is installed with a brand new Electro-Voice sound system that delivers powerful high fidelity sound, one that would get the capacity of 150 in high spirits. The establishment was looking for a reliable, trust worthy and experienced supplier for their sound reinforcement system. What better brand than Electro-Voice that has been a leader in this industry for more than 80 years. Electro-Voice provides a one-stop solution with a full range products being in- stalled in the bar, restaurant/ lounge and out door seating area including a pair of ZX5-90W loudspeakers for the bar area. The ZX5 speakers are a unique combi- nation of incredible sonic performance, application flexibility, streamlined aesthet- ics, and super-light weight. The speaker offers a range of features and a level of versatility unmatched in other 15-inch two-way loudspeakers. A pair of powerful compact QRX-118S subwoofers featuring high output performance, and accurate transient detail have also been installed. Six units of all weather ZX1I-100 pro au- dio speakers are used for outdoor filler music and a pair of the same for indoor filler music. The system is powered by amplifiers from the Contract Precision Series (CPS) including two units of CPS2.12, one unit of CPS2.9-230V, and one unit of CPS2.6-II-230V. While speaker processing is provided courtesy of a Electro-Voice DC-One digital signal processor. www.electrovoice.com
