102 EXPO
PALM EXPO INDIA
PALM EXPO INDIA MUMBAI
Palm Expo India took place at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai on 31 May - 2 June. It was the second edition of the show with organisers Diversified in charge. However, as Diversified only purchased the show shortly before the 2011 event, a lot of the organisation was already complete, so essentially, this was the first opportunity the company had to showcase its organisation skills to the Indian market - it went well. Managing Director of Diversified Communications India, Anil Chopra said before the show: “In Hall 1 the Palm Expo will define the tremendous surge in demand for stage sound and stage lighting in India. The theme of the 2012 Palm show is stage, light and sound. Palm Expo will build on this theme in its conference and seminar programme as well in its show design, with special focus on this segment in marketing and convene all players in this segment across India.”

Visitor numbers were up by more than 25% on last year’s figures, all of whom came to see what the 117 exhibitors had to offer. After making its debut last year, Alcons Audio returned to Palm Expo having recently opened offices in Mumbai and Bangalore to serve the local market. Other returning exhibitors announced new distribution partnerships. K-array was
