Reflection


Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.”


The Gospel reading reminds me of the power of faith in my own life. As an educator of young children, it is difficult to know that any impression is being made. I do not know that when I am teaching with care and love that my four year-old students will take anything away with them. However, I continue to do my best and teach as if each move I make will make a difference. I am putting faith into what I believe are ways to reach my students in positive ways that will make them better people.


Similarly, Mary placed her confidence in what the Lord has spoken to her. There was no immediate evidence that convinced Mary that God’s word would
