Learning can sometimes be a challenge, and our focus may sometimes be blurred; this is why God brings us the joy of the Incarnation. God comes to us this season to clear our vision and see him.

The readings for reflection ask us to understand and accept that God wants to be in charge of our lives to help us live a good life with healthy relationships, positive people, happy places, and to lend a hand when others need it.

The readings show us that God is dissatisfied when we do not pay attention with all of our hearts and minds to understand and “harken to his commandments.” It is when we open our hearts, minds and follow God every day that we become aware of his presence and his promise. Our faith becomes stronger through all of our senses recognizing Gods wonderful work in our lives. In our day to day experiences God speaks to us through the many seasons he created for us to enjoy, through the happiness of a new baby’s birth, a new bride and groom, successes of our families, even in times of sorrow through support from others.

Prayer

Let us rejoice in all of the wonderful works of our Lord. Let us open our hearts and our minds to his word to receive the coming Christ this Advent season, for only through our devotion to him and his commandments shall we live and reign with him in his kingdom forever and ever. Amen.
