Reflection


Such a wonderful saint! The children love Saint Nicholas (Santa Claus). They can’t wait for Christmas to come. On this Monday, there will be excitement in the air and laughter in the halls of our schools. How to contain it and channel it, will be our task today.


Isaiah is asking us to be glad also. Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Testament promises. He is encouraging us to be focused on the truth that Jesus is coming. Joy should resound in our hearts. In all that we do this holy season as we prepare for His coming, let us show joy.


The psalm for today sings of the same true focus. Our actions should be most Christian: kind, true, just and peaceful.


Even the Gospel helps us to realize joy in actions. This gospel is one of my favorites. I share it with my second grade class. Can
