know how to wait, that wants all immediately. James says: “Be patient” the Lord is near.” Patience is a word to meditate on, to breathe deeply while we repeat it and see how it calms us and makes us think. “How am I living my life today? What are the blindness and deafness that the Lord wants to heal in my life?

The Lord says in the Gospel “go and tell John that the lame walk, the deaf hear and the Good news is announced to the poor.” What is the Lord inviting me to? Who needs me to announce that the Kingdom of God is near? Who are the deaf, the blind, and the lame to whom I must announce the Good News?

Today we are in a world where almost everything is relative. The Lord comes to tell us “Stop, See and Hear”! A God who gave us creation and life wants also to walk by our side on this journey of life. God communicated with us through the prophets and then through his own Son. Jesus says to us: My people are suffering and I have come to liberate them; I count on you for this work, I need your feet and your hands. The Lord invites us to give witness to that which we have seen and heard. Thank you Lord for visiting us!

Prayer

Lord we give you thanks for your immense love to humanity and ask that we may be able to discover your presence among us. Give us your grace to heal our leprosy and be with us in our journeys. Amen.
