Apprenticeships in hospitality Hospitality is a global industry with career opportunities everywhere you go. It offers a sociable and dynamic working environment with a wide spectrum of job roles available. The industry needs 66,000 more managers by 2022, so there is plenty of scope for progression and a variety of routes to enter the industry. If you want to earn while you learn,
becoming an apprentice is a great solution. Apprenticeships offer work- based learning that allows you to achieve a nationally recognised standard, gain a qualification and earn money. It’s great in the long term too –
research has shown that, on average, an apprentice earns over £100,000 more throughout their lifetime than other employees.
What else is fantastic about becoming an apprentice? ● Apprenticeships train you in the skills businesses want, meaning you’ll have a wealth of options open to you. When you’ve finished, you can carry on working, possibly get promoted or go on to higher education. ● Your employer or training provider will make sure you have support: their job is to ensure your training fits your personal requirements, gives you the skills needed by your employer and satisfies national standards. They will also be there to help you through any difficult times. ● As well as gaining practical
skills through real workplace experience, you’ll gain a nationally recognised qualification.
