Step one Set your goal. Focus on your ultimate dream job and find out what skills and experience are necessary to get there. Step two Have regular career discussions with your line manager and find out what level of support you can expect to help you reach your goal. Consider self-study and activities you can do in your own time to complement your workplace learning. Set yourself goals and regularly review your progress against them.
