Bone, Muscle & Joint Injuries
Straighten the casualty’s limbs. Then when everyone is ready, begin rolling the casualty in one slow, steady, controlled movement. Keep the casualty’s head, chest, hips and legs supported at all times maintaining a straight spine.

Treatment – Unconscious Casualty
As always with an unconscious casualty we are concerned about managing their airway and breathing. We also know that we do not want to move them unless it is really necessary. So how do we do this? If you are alone and you have to leave the casualty who is unresponsive and breathing normally, to call for an ambulance, you must place them in the recovery position as this is the ONLY way to manage their airway. Upon returning to the casualty, leave them in the recovery position.
If you have summoned help already for an unconscious casualty who is breathing normally then you can manage their airway and breathing by performing a simple head tilt, chin lift, ensuring minimum movement of the casualty. If the casualty stops breathing normally, you will have to begin CPR.
