Chest Compressions on a Child Place one or two hands in the centre of the child’s chest and compress the chest by at least one-third of its depth at a rate of 100-120 compressions per minute.

Rescue Breaths on a Child Place the palm of one hand on the child’s forehead. Place the other hand under the child’s chin and tilt the head back, extending the airway. Keep your hand under the chin and use your other hand to pinch the child’s nose.
Open your mouth; make a seal around the child’s mouth with yours and blow, watching the rise and fall of the child’s chest. Blow no more than one second and repeat.
Step 4. Continue giving cycles of 30 chest compressions and 2 rescue breaths until - help arrives - the casualty begins to regain consciousness and starts breathing normally again - or you become too exhausted to continue performing CPR.
