Founded in 1993, this ambient ready meal specialist is introducing its products to travel catering. Michael Tops said: “Our ambient meals allow airlines to control waste more effectively than with frozen foods and reduce the cost of transport and storage.” The meals have a shelf life of three months and contain no preservatives or artificial colours. They keep fresh through microwave technology which sterilises the food using heat treatment. The Top’s range includes a halal chicken tikka masala, sweet and sour chicken, vegetarian pasta with ratatouille vegetable sauce and a beef lasagna.

Mantellis was at WTCE to showcase its private brand labelling facility and new products include the ‘kisses’ selection – individually wrapped 12g pastry bites with apple, strawberry, apricot and spicy fillings inside.

This gourmet British popcorn stand was a popular snack stop. Propercorn is the brainchild of entrepreneur Cassandra Stavrou, who created Propercorn from her childhood memories of cooking popcorn with her father and developed the recipes from scratch. It’s 100% wholegrain and comes in fiery Worcester sauce and sun-dried tomato, sweet and salty, sour cream and chive, and lightly sea salted – with more flavours to follow.
