The East Midlands The Ideal Location for Business, Harborough District
Harborough Innovation Centre, Market Harborough Why Harborough District?
Harborough District is located in rural south Leicestershire, in the heart of England. With over 5,000 businesses ranging from SMEs to large industrial companies, and nationally recognised brands, it is rapidly earning a reputation as a great place for businesses to relocate. Just 90 mins from London by road and 1 hr by train, Harborough District also has great links to 4 airports – East Midlands, Nottingham, Birmingham, and Luton.
It is a diverse and popular location for businesses looking to grow, invest and thrive. The District benefits from low unemployment, a great skills profile, and a high quality of living.
In 2019, Harborough ranked in the top 20 places to live in the country in Halifax’s Quality of Life survey, and this year, our main town, Market Harborough, was named one of Britain’s best shopping locations.
The District’s growing reputation is due, in part to the thriving independent business community, combined with the high quality of life afforded by our attractive small towns and villages, our beautiful rural environment and our enviable accessibility and transport connections, due to our location in the heart of England.
Harborough District has a range of high-quality housing developments, in a variety of rural and urban locations. These include, the recent approval of almost 3,000 new homes, to be developed in one of our larger towns, Lutterworth, close to the ‘Golden Triangle’, formed by the M6, M1 and M69, making it one of the most accessible locations in the UK. This development will also include new schools, community facilities, as well as social and retail provision, to support the growing population. Similarly in Market Harborough, and other parts of the District, there are several housing developments adding to the growing range of attractive places to live.
This is all part of what makes Harborough District a great place to relocate or establish your business, but also a place to live and call home.
