What are the biggest challenges facing the media and entertainment industry? The key challenges our
customers face lie in the very way that we define teleision. en years ago, television was linear broadcast to a mass audience. Today, it means broadcast and unicast, live and on-demand, linear and streaming, and new business models like FAST and directtoconsumer.
Navigating all this change
requires establishing a clear vision for where your business needs to be in three to fie years and then taking practical, incremental steps to get there.
How is your company helping its customers to address the challenges faced by the media and entertainment industry? We’re helping our customer meet audience demand for premium- quality channels and content across every screen – while also maximising profitability. ur latest technology enables media
companies to deliver and monetise both linear and CTV content from a single, unified platform. We also help by meeting our customers wherever they are on the technological cure. ur technology enables customers to use SDI and on-prem solutions when they need to benefit from IP connectivity and hybrid models where it makes sense, and migrate to the cloud when its right for their business.
Which trends or themes do you expect to emerge during IBC2022?
Real-world factors will drive key themes this year, so we’ll see an ongoing focus on remote production. As cyberthreats continue to make headlines, revenue protection will be top of mind. And recent news of digital giants adding ad-supported tiers and a proliferation of FAST channels will drive a strong focus on crossplatform monetisation. The common underpinning of all
these trends is the move towards cloud-based technology and operations.
What are the main areas of focus for your company during IBC2022?
ur primary focus is on helping customers extract the maximum revenue potential from their media assets, and we’re delivering on this with two IBC mustsees. SureFire is our new broadcast- quality video ad server, which provides linear-plus control and brand protection on and platforms. Aiator is the first cloudnatie platform that enables media companies to plan, make and monetise linear and CTV content across all platforms.
What sets your company apart as a technology leader? By combining our cloud-native Aviator platform with our SureFire video ad server, Imagine provides a unique and fully integrated
