Chapter 8 Post Flight


Arrival Duties Note: Refer to the Arrival Checklist in Chapter 2 for specific arrival duties.


FIRST THING TO DO if passengers just deplaned: Sweep the cabin to look for any forgotten items of passengers! Cell phones, pens, eyeglasses, tote bags, etc. If any items are found take them outside to the passengers immediately before they leave!


DETAILING/CLEANING AIRCRAFT


Do NOT use cleaning products that are unfamiliar. If you are in doubt ... ASK! We recommend you start cleaning at the one end of the aircraft and work towards the opposite direction to prevent overlooking anything that requires detailing.


GALLEY


✓ Empty ice drawer/bin of ice which prevents water from becoming stagnant. Disinfect ice drawer.


✓ Off load all glassware, china and silverware to be washed in Dish Bin by Line Service (if applicable). Line Service will take your dirty dishes and other items. They will clean/wash


them and repack into your storage bin. They will store the bin in the facility until you return - (this is why you mark your bin with the tail number) They will not board your aircraft and put your supplies away.


✓ Wipe down counters, cabinets, drawers and mirrors - remove all hand prints and marks.


✓ Replenish chips, cookies, gum, mints, nuts, sodas, liquors, dishes, linens, silverware, napkins, sugars, garbage bags, zip-lock bags, utensils, etc.


✓ Remove ALL creamers, juices and other perishables from ice bin/drawers. ✓ Empty coffee containers and any other containers, utensils, etc that require cleaning. ✓ Remove all extra stock/supplies - don't become a "pack rat." ✓ Remove wine, beer and Champagne - if applicable. ✓ Check expiration dates on all snack foods. ✓ Make sure oven (s) are emptied of food and misc. supplies that may have been stored inside.


✓ Galley trash pulled out & tied. Never set trash bags on floor in cabin or galley - leakage. ✓ FWD Galley - place at bottom on airstairs. ✓ AFT Galley - place outside of baggage/cargo door - never walk the trash through the cabin - leakage.


CABIN


✓ Unfold nesting tables and wipe down table tops, seats and windows. ✓ Straighten pillows and throws. ✓ Arrange seatbelts neatly - polish buckles and tuck into seats or cross as appropriate. ✓ Vacuum seats, couches and flooring. ✓ Move seats around and away from sidewalls. ✓ If suede walls and/or ceiling - brush with ultra suede pillow/brush. ✓ Replenish backup stock under divan - if applicable. ✓ Discard expired magazines. ✓ Open all cabinets and compartments for any items that were “creatively” stored.
