Joan and Nora Kennedy want to insure their house for €250,000 and its contents for €50,000. They have no alarm and are part of a Neighbourhood Watch scheme. They received the following information from Z Insurance Ltd.
• Building insurance is €2.50 for every €1,000 of value. • Contents insurance is €3 for every €1,000 of value. • There is a 5% loading for homes without a house alarm. • There is a 6% discount for homes in the neighbourhood watch scheme.
