What is globalisation?
Globalisation is the way that people and places are interconnected with other people and places around the world.
We are all connected. For example, we might have family members living in Australia, travel in a car made in Japan, use a mobile phone assembled in China and watch movies made in the USA. The list goes on and on.
Globalisation makes the world feel smaller. It also makes people and places more dependent on one another. When people and places are dependent on one another we say they are interdependent.
