Each of the climatic zones contains a number of natural regions. This is an area where the climate, natural vegetation, wildlife and human activities are similar. The most important of these characteristics is climate because it influences the formation of the soil in the area, the type of vegetation that grows there, the animals that live there and what people do there. Plants and animals often have characteristics that are adapted to living in the conditions of their natural region.
