Symbols
Ordnance Survey maps come with a legend. A legend helps us identify what the symbols on the map stand for. It is important that we know what the symbols represent.
ACT VITY
Look at the legend of OS symbols opposite. (a) Every person in the class must draw ten symbols from the legend on a piece of paper. (b) Swap it with a partner in your class. (c) Write down the name of the symbols on the piece of paper. (d) Swap it back and get your partner to correct it.
