Look at the map of your area on maps.scoilnet.ie, and compare it with the aerial photograph on the same site. Work in groups of four and answer the following questions:
(a) What are the advantages of Ordnance Survey maps? (b) What are the advantages of aerial photographs? (c) What are the disadvantages of Ordnance Survey maps? (d) What are the disadvantages of aerial photographs?
This chapter will teach you some of the skills that you will need in your second year of Geography. Your class can dip in and out of this chapter throughout the year.
