After 30 minutes, we could notice a partial


relaxation of muscle contraction both, for the benchmark and the botulinum toxin-like peptide, being dose-dependently for the latter one. The efficacy of the botolinum toxin-like peptide was better than the benchmark at all times, even at lower concentrations. When tested at 0.1 mg/mL the peptide was able to down-modulate muscle contraction an 18% more than 0.5 mg/mL benchmark after 2 hours (Fig.3). After the washout, there was a partial


recovery of the frequency of the contractions with the botulinum toxin-like peptide and a total recovery with the benchmark. On the contrary, after the removal of the toxin the frequency of the contractions was not restored.


Double-blind assessment of anti- wrinkles efficacy Two panels of 18 female volunteers (35-55 years old) applied a cream with 3% the botulinum toxin-like peptide on half face twice daily for 14 days. A placebo or 5% benchmark was applied on the other half of the face. The benchmark was a blend of a pre-synaptic (Acetyl-Hexapeptide-8) and a post-synaptic (Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate) benchmarks.
