Figure 7: A) Representative images of the infraorbital area obtained at baseline and after 28 days of treatment with the AI-designed peptide during a clinical study. The superimposed contours highlight the reduction in eye bag area after treatment. B) Change in eye bag volume measured with a 3D image system

Mechanistic studies demonstrated that the AI- designed peptide acts across seven interconnected soft tissues: vascular system, lymphatic system, epidermis, dermis, adipose tissue, muscle and ligament-support structures. The activity profile includes reduced vascular

and lymphatic permeability, reinforcement of the epidermal barrier, reduction of melanin accumulation, enhancement of dermal matrix markers, decreased adipocyte lipid content, increased muscle energization and regeneration markers, and restoration of ligament-associated extracellular matrix components. By addressing an upstream biological mechanism linked to permeability, inflammation and tissue homeostasis, this approach supports a new paradigm in eye contour care: targeting the periocular microenvironment rather than individual visible signs of ageing. Together, these findings support a shift from conventional symptom-driven approaches toward a biology-driven strategy for eye contour rejuvenation.
