range of L*values in a colour map (Fig 8). The luminosity parameter increased after treatment, indicating the skin was able to reflect more light. Skin roughness in crow’s feet area was

determined by image analysis (Fig 9), through the coefficient of the visibility of wrinkles. The results showed a decrease of 15.4% in this parameter in the crow’s feet area after 28 days.

Conclusion Dawnergy peptide is dual energising and anti-ageing active ingredient developed to meet the needs of active consumers that need to have a better skin complexion in the morning and an adequate level of energy in the skin. By increasing the levels of the JARID1a protein in the early morning, the active ingredient would help advance the activation of diurnal processes. Skin performance and homeostasis were shown to be improved from the beginning of the day in 3D skin models synchronised to circadian rhythms. In addition, the ingredient demonstrates an energising effect on skin fibroblasts, while also modulating mitochondrial complexes activities for anti-ageing benefits. Clinical tests with Dawnergy peptide showed that the natural activation of skin conditions can be advanced in time to improve

appearance early in the morning, even despite little rest due to lifestyle factors and that application of the ingredient can help obtain a glowing radiant rejuvenated complexion.
