INSIGHT AFRICA

SPORTRADAR

UX Focus Sportradar

Across Sportradar's African client roster, Matthew Campbell, VP Sales – Africa, says there is a real focus on delivering an engaging user experience for their

customers, highlighting why many of the region’s operators are

incorporating Managed Trading Services into their businesses.

Tere’s been a positive response to Alpha Odds from operators in the region. Tere are 14 clients currently using it and it’s performing well for them. Feedback from one client using the solution across soccer betting markets is that it’s delivered a 16 per cent profit margin increase, which is very significant.

With the European football season coming to an end, how popular is football betting in Africa?

Football is the world’s most popular betting sport by turnover and the Africa market is reflective of that. Providing so many bookmakers in the region with MTS, we have access to an unparalleled depth of data on regional betting behaviours.

For example, we’ve processed more than half a billion betting tickets on Premier League matches alone this season on behalf of our African operators, with the average monthly wagering stake per user standing at €30.

What's Sportradar's strategic approach to future market growth in Africa?

As a company, Sportradar has a problem- solving mindset. We listen carefully to our clients to deeply understand the challenges they face and then respond with an appropriate solution. By truly understanding the challenges facing our clients in the African market, we have and will continue to unlock significant growth opportunities for them and ourselves.

Furthermore, as a global organisation with offices in 20 countries worldwide, we work with clients outside of the African market and provide them with the tools and expertise they need to establish their business in the region.

Te customisable nature of our solutions,

particularly the functionalities within MTS, allow operators to set-up their operations in a way that suits their needs.
