BetConnect: bookies’ price - without the bookie

Daniel Schreiber, Founder and CEO of BetConnect, believes the industry needs to be

far more transparent for everyday punters and professional gamblers alike. Speaking to G3, Daniel explains how the company's new

platform is accessible and easier to use for the mass market, whilst also enabling pros to get their bets matched.

In June, BetConnect, an online betting company created in 2018, unveiled a new platform that offers odds from major bookmakers and enables users to bet on them without needing multiple accounts.

BetConnect is a one-stop sports betting platform which gives users all the benefits you get from exchange betting, without needing to understand the complexities of how an exchange works.

Users can pick from the best bookie odds to place their bet, from all the major bookies, all in one account. Tere is no need for multiple bookies’ accounts - everything goes through BetConnect. Tis means everyday punters don’t have to shop around to get the best odds, or have accounts with all the bookies. It’s the easiest way of placing a bet at the best odds.

Users can also choose to lay bets too, meaning they’re matching other people’s bets. Users have the same account to back and lay so it’s one account, one balance but two ways to bet.

Daniel Schreiber, Founder and CEO, BetConnect

I’m so excited to be part of a fundamental shift in the gambling industry. What BetConnect offers isn’t just a gimmick or a short term offer. It sparks the start of a complete transformation of the industry and the team and I are passionate about driving that evolution forwards.

You founded BetConnect in 2018 citing a belief that the 'industry was fundamentally unfair and lacked transparency'. How, if at all, has this changed in the last three years?

Although the industry has greatly improved in terms of Responsible and Safer Gambling, I still believe many of the bookies act in a way which is unfair to all bettors. The margins charged by bookies, through over rounds, make them millions out of users who aren’t getting the best odds. It’s not a level playing field for the punters who want to get their bet on.

bookies, through over rounds, make them millions out of users who aren’t getting the best odds available. It’s not a level playing field for the punters who want to get their bet on. Overall the bookie will always win.

And to add insult to injury, if players start to win regularly they’re at risk of being restricted. At BetConnect we welcome winners and will never restrict people for winning.
