BoyleSports confirms interest in William Hill's non-US business


UKRAINE – The opening of the Gaming Industry Expo, held at International Exhibition Centre in Kiev, saw Merkur Gaming exhibiting its latest gaming products to a new audience.


Attending the show, Merkur’s Chief Executive, International, ‘Sakis’ Isaakidis, was full of praise for the massive efforts that had been made to bring the show to reality. He said: “We are back, live shows are back and visitors, customers and business partners are back! This marks the re-opening of the industry, live and in action, and it gives us all a very real expectation that better times are coming.”


Merkur, together with local technical, logistical and sales support provided by the Kiev based company MSL, had gone all out to provide a highly visible show of support to the re-opening Ukrainian gaming industry with an booth packed with the latest, cabinets, jackpot solutions and multiplayer equipment.


A host of games were presented in the Ukrainian language with many games seen for the very first time; making this Kiev show an international premiere product launch.


GERMANY – Scientific Games is set to modernise the retail experience of Bremer Toto-Lotto , the state lottery in Bremen, Germany, with a move to high-performance Wave retailer terminals.


As part of a new contract with Bremer Toto-Lotto, Scientific Games will provide Wave terminals along with the company’s new Symphony Edge terminal software, cloud-based Symphony terminal management system, and software maintenance.

SOUTH AFRICA – Evolution Services SA has announced a new retail partnership with local retail betting giant World Sports Betting (WSB), in which Ezugi will launch its brand-new retail lottery game, Golden Balls, across WSB outlets, side by side with its lottery draw-Bet on Numbers.


WSB went live with Golden Balls in its Cape Town shops in June and rollout followed shortly thereafter to its remaining retail outlets in Gauteng and Kwazulu- Natal. WSB will be the first retail operator to offer this live lottery game, which offers players surprise wins, and cashbacks for losing bets.

Te Irish bookie has already bought William Hill’s chain of 33 shops in Northern Ireland and two shops in the Isle of Man. Tat deal, back in January 2020 brought its total number of shops in Northern Ireland to 39, its number of shops on the island of Ireland to 298 and its total retail footprint across Ireland and the UK to 317 shops.
